TAKING PART
Ready to create a character for the campaign? Use this guide to help you through the ins and outs!
GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT ROZETTA
- Rozetta is a set-end campaign! This means that the campaign is planned to end after the final event is completed.
- Rozetta will comprise 7 main events. 4 of these events will be longer, plot-focused events, and 3 will be shorter, character-focused events. Both plot and character will still be a part of all main events. Events will alternate between long and short.
- Rozetta utilizes a system where mods choose which kinds of magic your character will receive! While you are able to choose what magic you want to begin with, how it evolves will be controlled by the moderators of the group! How this happens will be revealed as the story progresses. You can also learn more information about the progression trends of each magic-type here!
- Rozetta will utilize a google docs and checkpoint-based system! Roleplay will be a mix of long and short paragraph style with the option for chat-style in some areas! Checkpoint pace is intended to be a bit on the faster side with checkpoints coming every 1-4 days.
- Rozetta will be hosted over Discord! You must have a Discord in order to join!
- Rozetta may have soft activity requirements! This might be in the form of meeting certain post quotas and expressing interest in still being a part of the group! In general, these activity requirements are intended to be on the laxer side!
GROUP RULES
Important rules to take note of when thinking about joining! Please make sure to read all of them thoroughly.
GENERAL
- Rozetta is a 21+ Group! You must be at least 21 years of age to join. You will be removed from the group if you are found to be lying about your age. Please respect this rule as it is for the comfort of all members involved.
- Please treat everyone with respect. Belittling, bullying, passive aggressive behaviour or intimidating behavior will not be tolerated.
- If you have any concerns within the group, please bring them to moderators so we can resolve and/or discuss the issue. We are here to help with absolutely anything!
- If there is anyone you do not wish to share the group with, please discuss with the mods! We would prefer that people do not have to share a group with people that they are uncomfortable with. We are willing to help with establishing boundaries and other arrangements if needed. Please respect our decisions on who we do and don’t let join. It is not a slight against any person or group.
- No bigotry will be tolerated. Please do not join if you have racist, homophobic, transphobic, ableist, antisemitic or zionistic beliefs. Please also refrain from doing any 'reverse bigotries', being jokingly bigoted, or using slurs, whether reclaimed or not. Please also be respectful of others spirituality and beliefs and/or lack thereof.
- We ask that members refrain from discussing real-world politics and/or venting excessively.
- We ask that members do not interact with the group when under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Please also refrain from discussing your own use of alcohol or drugs.
- Please keep outside drama outside of the group. Please also do not bad-mouth or critique other groups within the server (praise and/or discussion of outside concepts or ideas is fine, as long as it respects the source and its creators).
- AI art/writing/content is not allowed.
ROLEPLAY/SOCIAL SPACES
- Please respect everyone’s boundaries with their OCs! If you are ever unsure of anything, please discuss with the mods or your fellow players. We recommend discussing any altercations between characters to make sure both players are comfortable and aware of how things may pan out!
- Please refrain from having characters act in ways that could be construed as homophobic, sexist, or ableist.
- Please refrain from ‘god-modding’, e.g. making other characters do things that are not stated in their post.
- Please refrain from making any statements about magic assignments that may make moderators feel pressured to make certain assignments! This includes phrases like, ‘I hope I get [x] magic’, or, ‘I’ll be sad if I don’t get [x] magic’. Phrases such as ‘I could see [x] magic being an interesting choice’, are fine, as there is no emotional weighting to the phrase!
- Please avoid expressing favoritism towards any characters! Every character should be treated as equally important to the campaign.
THEMES
- Rozetta may include themes of: Horror, body horror, gore, violence, religious imagery and/or themes (specifically taking inspo from religious themes and/or stories, no definitive statements on the ethics of religion). All content will be tagged appropriately.
- This group will generally lean away from NSFW topics. That said, it is not completely banned. We ask that NSFW topics are not overly fixated on or discussed in a crude manner. Sexuality can exist as part of a character, but the group is not designed to be a place where sexual themes are at the forefront of a character. Please be considerate of this and other people's boundaries regarding said topics.
- Drawn nudity is also not allowed within the group (even tasteful nudity), however mildly suggestive pieces are fine if they are spoilered and tagged accordingly.

Mandatory Fields
- Name (and surname): Your character’s full name goes here!
- Base Species: This is the species your character is if they are just an Earthling, or before they became a Fel.
- Fel Species: The species of Fel that your character is! If they are an Earthling, you may leave this blank or simply put ‘N/A’.
- Magic Type: Select which magic your character has!

Editables
Here are some things you are allowed to edit with the application!
- Fonts and font sizes/colours (provided they are still readable).
- How stats are filled out (you can draw them in yourself, or use the toggleables provided in the PSD application!).
- The Beast/Mixed Form plates can be moved around or changed to your liking! You may also change the text and add additional plates.
- You may add additional elements to the background, or edit the background to your liking, provided everything is still clear!
- Feel free to add any additional stuff to the application that you might find fun!
QNA
Q: How should I use the toggleable stats?
A:The base stat toggleables are used to represent your character’s base stats, and the added stats are to represent the ones you have allocated manually.
The allocated stats will be slightly lighter in colour. Using the toggleable stats in this manner is entirely optional, however!
Feel free to simply use one of the stat toggleables if you prefer for all of the colours to be uniform.
Q: What are the rules for the full body artwork/ artwork in general for the application?
A:While the artwork should be full body and coloured, we will allow more sketchy renditions of this art! Traditional art is also allowed.
Similarly, you may use bases or commissioned artwork, provided that artists have been credited appropriately and that the base is approved for use in this manner.
While this artwork is required, we will not be judging anyone based on art skills!
THE WRITTEN APPLICATION
The written application must be filled out alongside the visual application! Click the link above to view the template, which will contain all the instructions you need.
QNA
Q: Must my written application be done through Google Docs?
A:Yes! This is to ensure ease-of-access and readability. You are free to include other versions of your application on websites like Toyhou.se, but your main submission MUST be done using the Google Docs version.
SUBMISSION
Ready to submit? Great! Use the form above to submit all of your deliverables. Make sure that:
- You have uploaded your visual application to hosting which will allow us to view it without the image expiring.
- We will be able to contact you through Discord to give you the results of your application!
REVIEWAL PROCESS
- Our current member cap will be around 40 Members! We may go a little over, but expect selection processes to be in place behind the scenes if we get more than 40 applicants!
- We will be aiming to reveal our member selections on the 7th September 2026 (so one week after closing). Expect this date to be flexible depending on how fast we're able to work behind the scenes!
- Once the group is closed, the Discord preserver will be locked, and members will no longer be able to post or join. We will still keep this server up, however! A new server will be made and accepted applicants will be invited to join! We will notify everyone who applied on the result of their application.
- We will not be doing any pre-reviews on applications! If you have any questions or are unsure about any parts of the application or the application process, we encourage you to utilize the questions channel (in our Discord), or open a ticket if you have a more in-depth question! (also avaliable in our Discord!)
- While our judging rubric will remain hidden, please be aware that the kind of magic or species you choose for your character will not factor in heavily in our selections! Please make a character you feel like you want to play most of all to have the best chances of getting into the group!
CREATING A CHARACTER
Ready to create a character for the campaign? Use this quick guide to help you through the ins and outs!
While we recommend reading all of the important content in its entirety (links on the right), you can use this page as a quick starting place or as a refresher.
WHAT CAN MY CHARACTER BE?
Your character can be either an Earthling or a Fel (with the recommendation of being a Fel). Your character CANNOT be a Mythical.
Mythicals are not an option for player characters because they are much stronger than Earthlings and Fels (which would create balancing issues). They exist to serve a different purpose with the story. Mythicals will help aid with the main plot, but will generally not be the arbiters of it.
While you cannot make Mythical playable characters, they can be included as part of your character’s history as NPCs! You can read more about Mythicals here!
Fels are recommended over Earthlings as the plot will focus around Fel and the Fel Curse. Fels may also feel a little stronger and more versatile than Earthlings. Earthlings are, however, an option that is available to players! Earthling involvement in the plot may also open up opportunities for unique interactions. Please choose what best suits your desired playstyle and interests!
Tl;dr want to utilize the full breadth of the world’s magic-system and shapeshifting abilities? Choose a Fel!
Don't mind having a slightly weaker character who's tagging along for the ride? Who might inspire some unique interactions with the plot? Earthlings are an option for you!
QNA
Q: Can my Earthling character turn into a Fel midway through the story?
A: This is something that may be allowed early on! If this is something you would like to do, please discuss with the mods as soon as possible! It may require some changes in stats
and magic assignments which will need to be facilitated by the team.
Q: How many characters am I allowed to play?
A: For the first proper event (not the test RP), everyone will be limited to one character (the one that you join the group with). From this point onwards,
members will be able to apply for a second character during rest periods!
If you decide to apply for a second character, you will need to decide who you will be using as your main character for each event as they come. The character who is not selected as your main may be played as part of a side party.
FELS
If your character is a Fel, you will want to think about a few things:
- When did your character become a Fel? (either when the curse was first enacted, or during the subsequent 10 years).
- What are they without their Fel traits? (so what were they like when they were still an Earthling?).
- What kind of Fel are they? (Dragon, Unicorn, Griffin, Lycanthrope, Aberrant?).
- Since becoming a Fel, what changed with their Walking Form? (do they look the same as they did before, or do they have additional traits?).
- What do their other forms look like, and have they used them before?
- What kind of magic type did your character end up with? (all Earthlings only have access to both Alchemy and Contract Magic, when becoming a Fel, they lose their ability to use Alchemy and are randomly assigned one of the three primary magics. This is unless, of course, your character is a Lycanthrope or part Lycanthrope, in which case, they may keep Alchemy, but without gaining any of the three primary magics).
Important Note About Combining Mythical Traits With Earthling traits
You will need to use the guide for Mythicals in order to design your Fel character! In this guide, restrictions will be placed on things such as having fur (for example). Keep in mind that Fels can maintain traits like their fur, provided that they are not in their full Beast Form (which basically resemble Mythicals completely, only smaller).
While Dragons, for example, cannot be fluffy, your Fel character can maintain fluff if they are not fully shifted. A Dragon x Lycanthrope (a Basilisk) for example, can also be fluffy, even in their Beast Form, as Lycanthropes are fluffy.
TL;DR, Fels are like a fusion between Mythicals and Earthlings. Because of this, Earthling traits can be rolled over and included in a Fel design.
QNA
Q: Mythicals have an altered lifespan, is this true of Fels?
A: No. Fels have the same lifespan as Earthlings do (so the same as in-real-life people).
Q: Are the powers / abilities of Mythicals equivalent to Fels?
A: Fels are essentially a weaker version of a Mythical. They are equivalent in their base-stat ratios, but a Fel, for example,
could not affect wide swaths of land with their magic like Mythical Griffins do, even if they have a strong aptitude for magic. Fel magic isn’t super weak, but an Earthling, for example,
could potentially defeat a Fel of any kind in combat (although they would still obviously be at a disadvantage).
Q: Unicorns have a dulled sense of pain, is this true for Fels?
A: No, not entirely. A Unicorn Fel could have a slightly duller sense of pain, but not so much so that they’d become non-reactive to injuries or anything like that.
Q: Because Fels maintain some of their Earthling traits, does this mean I can add new Earthling traits as they become a Fel? (eg. Earthling character was just a wolf, can they now have feline traits?)
A: Yes and no, but mostly no! In order to add new traits, they will have to have been innate to your character when they were an Earthling. If your character was a wolf (for example), perhaps they had slightly
feline looking ears. Upon becoming a Fel, this trait may become more exaggerated, but it had to have been there to begin with! A wolf character who had no feline traits cannot suddenly obtain feline traits.
Q: Can my character’s height/stature/body-shape change when they become a Fel?
A: Yes! While an extreme change isn't possible imediately (e.g. a thin, short, feminine leaning character suddenly becoming tall, fat, and masculine leaning), things such as height, muscle mass, weight, and fat distribution can shift! This can go up or down regardless of what kind of Fel your character becomes.
Q: Is becoming a fel painful? How does the process work?
A: This one is up to you! Becoming a Fel could happen within minutes and be painless, or traits can appear gradually over up to two weeks, with one suffering any combination of flu-like symptoms, aches, various sorts of pain, nausea, fainting, sweats, headaches— basically any symptom you can think of. While the recovery can be an ordeal, it is typically never fatal.
Q: How much control does my character have with shapeshifting?
A: Up to you! Some individuals have no trouble managing when their traits show up and how, others struggle with it more. Some individuals may unintentionally transform, struggle shifting between forms, or transform when emotional or under stress.
EARTHLINGS
If your character is an Earthling, you will want to think about a few things:
- What is your character’s motivation for going on this quest, despite not being a Fel?.
- Earthlings use Alchemy in order to get by in combat situations— what is your character’s relationship with Alchemy and how will they use the tools given to them to accomplish their tasks?
MAGIC TYPES/STATS
You will need to choose one of the four magic types to apply to your character! Choose wisely, as this cannot be changed once the campaign has started!
- LOOP TL;DR: jack of all trades magic. Steady leveling. Multiple different applications.
- SOUL MAGIC TL;DR: DPS magic. Bigger upgrades earlier on. Straightforward burst damage. Evolves into different forms with upgrades.
- ROSARY MAGIC TL;DR: Healer/tank/support/utility magic. Bigger upgrades later on. Good for supporting the team. Plan is to make sure this magic is diverse and not just the ‘healer class’.
- ALCHEMY TL;DR: Crafting magic, for Lycanthropes and Earthlings. Use magical weapons and replace them over time as their durability wears out. New options will open up as the campaign progresses.
CONTRACT MAGIC
Contract magic is a special type of magic that all characters have access to! Learn more about Contract Magic here!

QNA
Q: When my character loses their ability to use Alchemy and takes up one of the Three Primary Magics, do they get to choose their Primary Magic?
A: Each of the Primary Magics is innate, meaning that if you have one, it is impossible for your character to use another. This is true of both Fels and Mythicals. Primary Magics are not chosen,
per-say, but are assigned at seemingly random. You (the player), are able to choose which of the Three Primary Magics your character has, however! This can be done based on their
traits or personality, or at complete random, it’s completely up to you!
A good comparison is Avatar The Last Airbender, where a person’s bending abilities are determined from birth, and cannot be changed to another ability throughout their lifetime.
Q: What stats should I invest in based on which magic type I have chosen?
A: This is up to you! Each kind of magic is designed to work with various types of builds.
Q: If my character is a Lycanthrope with Alchemy, what is their magic used stat for?
A: This one is a good question— the simple answer is not much! There may be some status conditions and saving throws that rely on the magic stat, but otherwise, there may not be
much of a point in investing in this stat in this specific case. As things develop, we may find a way to better utilize this stat for Lycanthropes with Alchemy.
ETHOS, PATHOS, AND LOGOS STATS
A core element of Rozetta will involve negotiation with NPCs. Characters will have an Ethos, Pathos, and Logos stat to determine what kind of arguments they will be most persuasive with!
GENERAL OVERVIEW
- Ethos TL;DR: Appealing to authority, credibility, morals, and/or strength.
- Pathos TL;DR: Appealing to emotion, compassion, and understanding.
- Logos TL;DR: Appealing to logic and reasoning.
QNA
Q: How do I determine which stat is best for my character / what do I do if I’m not sure what category my character’s arguments fit into?
A: You as the player are free to make this determination yourself! Feel free to get creative with deciding how your character may fit into one category over the other. The important thing to think about is how you want NPCs to react to your character. The stat you use will influence their reaction and inspire them to take note of different things, whether it’s how inspirational, understanding, or logical your character comes across!
